Pizza Hut
The Pizza Hut Express is located on the busy first floor food court at the Centre Court Shopping Centre in Wimbledon, close to the famous lawn where the ‘Championships of Wimbledon’ are held. The restaurant serves approximately 200 pizzas per day fromMonday to Friday, increasing to 300 at the weekends and during school holidays.
Due to the high amount of food served each day, they were suffering from reoccurring blockages in their drains caused by the build-up of waste Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG), which also lead to unpleasant odours emitting from the drains. This resulted in a costly and high dependenceon drain maintenance companies as a temporary solution. The limited space available in the kitchen often caused high levels of disruption and interfered with the smooth running of the busy kitchen and this is where the Grease Guzzler came in. Dunstable Downs National Trust Visitor Centre
The Downs have been voted one of the seven natural wonders of the East of England with picturesque views of the Vale of Aylesbury and Chiltern Ridge. About 400,000 visitors pass through the fantastic location, who are catered for by a single cafeteria at a visitor centre, serving convenient foods including bacon and sausage rolls and burgers. The types of food being served were creating high quantities of excess fats, oils and grease, which were blocking the drain line and onsite pump station. Leading Law Firm
The leading law firm is located in a prestigious office building on the fringe of the City of London employing about 1100 employees. Two food serving areas are in use, one on the ground floor and one on the 8th floor which is where a problem with drain blockages started happening caused primarily by waste fats, oils and grease.
